High Group Playgroup enjoyed a visit from TACT (Talnotry Avian Care Trust). Several furry and winged friends from TACT came along to visit the kids as they learnt about Wildlife in Northern Ireland.
Here are some of the children interacting with the animals. Some were more enthusiastic than others, this is the first time that many of the children had seen an owl and a fox in real life!
TACT is based in the village of Crumlin, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The Charity cares for and rehabilitates sick, injured and abandoned wild birds and mammals. The Trust’s primary aim is to return birds and mammals back to the wild if possible.
As well as an Owl and a Fox TACT brought along a very fluffy bunny and a lively ferret. They were a big hit with the kids and the staff!
High Kirk Playgroup would like to thank TACT for coming along and teaching us caring for our local wildlife.
